Scenic Waterway Rules, Dec. 14

The Oregon State Marine Board seeks written public comment on proposed rules in Chapter 250, Division 030, Scenic Waterways. The Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service manage segments of designated Wild and Scenic Rivers in Oregon. Federal agencies, through Records of Decision and management plans, may restrict boating access on certain portions of the rivers. Staff is proposing rule changes to ensure its administrative rules are consistent with existing federal regulations. Written comments will be accepted through December 31, 2015 by 5 pm and can be submitted via email to osmb.rulemaking@state.or.us or by U.S. mail to: June LeTarte, Administrative Rules Coordinator, 435 Commercial Street NE, Suite 400, P.O. Box 14145, Salem, OR 97309-5056. Comments via telephone will not be accepted. Following the close of the public comment period, the Board will meet on January 7, in Portland, to discuss the proposed rules. The Board may make a motion to adopt, amend, not adopt, or take some other action with regarded to the proposed rules.
