Good bye Macy’s, Jan. 7

Another major anchor is leaving the Pony Village Mall in North Bend. Macy’s will begin a clearance sale Jan. 11, 2016 to reduce its inventory before closing the store that opened in 1980. JC Penny left the mall last year. Macy’s has also started clearance sales at its Roseburg store and will shutdown 40 nationwide. Company officials claim disappointing sales in 2015 led to their decision to close the stores. Macy’s has 770 stores nationwide.
