Trespassers arrested, Feb. 29

News release CBPD. On 02/27/16 at around 1:30 PM the Coos Bay Police Department responded to a 911 call of an unknown man digging around in a woodshed on the complainants property at 905 Webster Ave. While the police were on their way to the call, the complainant reported that her husband had confronted the man, the man had fled the area and got into a tan dodge Dakota pickup that was last seen headed up Fulton towards Radar Road. Coos Bay Police Officers arrived in the area on Radar road within minutes of the initial report and found the tan Dodge Dakota traveling on Radar Road headed towards Ocean Blvd. The officers initiated a traffic stop and quickly took William Sandusky into custody in connection with the reported criminal trespass. A woman that had fled into the brush just prior to the traffic stop was determined to be Kristy Cantrell who was wanted on a Coos County Felony Warrant for Parole Violation. Ms. Cantrell was located a short while later walking down Village Pines Ave. She was taken into custody on the warrant. Mr. Sandusky was determined to be a Coos County Community Corrections client and was additionally charged with probation violation. Both subjects were transported to the Coos County Jail. Mr. Sandusky was booked and released, and Ms. Cantrell is currently being held on the warrant.
