Arrested for Furnishing Alcohol, Feb. 29

A 20 year old Coos Bay Woman was arrested for furnishing Alcohol to Minors during an Underage Drinking Party at her residence that sent one minor to the hospital due their level of intoxication. On 02/26/16 at around 11:00 PM the Coos Bay Police Department responded to a report of an underaged drinking party involving college students at 820 Seabreeze Terrace. During the investigation police officers quickly determined that minors were consuming alcohol inside the residence, and estimated that there were approximately 50 people inside. When Officers entered the residence of 20 year old Amanda Ramirez, they found a minor female subject that was fading in and out of consciousness due to her level of intoxication. Paramedics were called to the residence and the female was transported to Bay Area Hospital for evaluation. 57 people were contacted during the police investigation. There were 25 MIP alcohol citations issued. Amanda Ramirez was taken into custody for furnishing alcohol to a minor, and additionally issued citations for MIP alcohol, and furnishing a location for minors to consume alcohol. The Coos Bay Police Department was assisted by officers from North Bend PD, the Coos County Sheriffs Office, and the Oregon State Police.
