Far West League boy’s champion Marshfield was well represented on the post season all-league selections by the coaches Sunday in Coos Bay. The Pirates landed three on the First Team, Jake Miles, Justin Cooper and Rylee Trendell. Kasey Banks was honored with a Second Team selection, while Scott Clough and Bo James Weatherston were Honorable Mention. Clough was also chosen to the All Defensive team. Miles was named the league’s MVP, and Marshfield Coach Doug Miles was honored as Coach of the Year. North Bend landed Tyler Brown on the First Team, Ryan Wirth Second Team, Luke Lucero HM, Brody Lucero HM, and Colton Olson Defensive Team.

Marshfield had five members of the girl’s basketball team named All League following voting by the Far West League coaches Sunday in Coos Bay. Pirate slections: Tess Garrett, 1st team; Carli Clarkson, 2nd team; Gracie Brugnoli, Honorable Mention; Alex Locati, Honorable Mention; Mallory Heyer, All-League Defensive Team.

Marshfield’s basketball team will host Molalla in an OSAA First Round game Friday night, 8:30 p.m. The winner advances to the OSAA 4A State Tournament at Liberty High School in Hillsboro March 10-13.
