Quakes at Cape Mendocino, Feb. 6

A couple of earthquakes were recorded Wednesday, Feb. 5, where two fault lines leave land and enter the Pacific Ocean at Cape Mendocino and then proceed north parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.6-magnitude quake shook the area at 7:08 p.m.37-miles south to southwest of Eureka, CA. A 3.6-magnitude quake also occurred at 6:55 p.m., 40-miles south to southwest of the Humboldt Co. Seat.
