On Thursday, June 16, 2016 at approximately 11:00 PM Douglas County Emergency Communications received a report of a stabbing that occurred in the 1400 block of Curtin Road in Curtin, Oregon. Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Officers from the Sutherlin Police Department responded to the scene, where they contacted 42 year old David Weinhold and 32 year old Regina Augdon , of Curtin. Weinhold reported he suffered a stab wound from 51 year old Kevin Grant Ray during a confrontation where they began to fight. During the altercation, Kevin Ray stabbed David Weinhold in the chest. Ray fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency responders. Medics transported Weinhold to River Bend Hospital in Eugene. He is expected to survive. Law enforcement officers conducted a search of the area and were unable to locate Ray.
