Busy Fourth for Curry Co., July 12

News release from the Curry Co. Sheriff’s Office. Curry County Sheriff’s Office participated in a High Visibility Traffic Enforcement grant for the 4th of July Holiday form July 1st-July 4th. During that time, 2 Deputies worked 12 hours, making 5 stops resulting in 3 traffic citations; failing to drive with in lane of travel and careless driving x 2. A few warnings were also issued. During those same dates the Curry County Sheriff’s Office responded to more than 30 emergency calls for service. Those included: DUII related crash nearly injuring children at Miller Bar where the driver resisted arrest, two traffic crashes with no injuries, a motorcycle vs. deer injury crash, vehicle vs pedestrian crash resulting in the pedestrian receiving an MIP citation, three disturbances, an assault, two separate deceased subjects, three disorderly conducts, shots fired, harassment, threats, boat inspection, Drug DUII resulting in possession of methamphetamine, three separate theft calls, welfare check, warrant arrest, burglary alarm call, two separate disorderly subjects and an impersonating an officer call.
