Coos Bay Police investigating report of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse, July 19

News release CBPD. On Monday, July 11, 2016, the Coos Bay Police Department received information that a local Coos Bay man was allegedly involved in the crime or crimes of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse (ORS 163.684 through 163.687). Upon receiving this information, Coos Bay Police Department Detectives began an investigation, which subsequently lead to them obtaining a search warrant from the Coos County Circuit Court. On Thursday, July 14 at approximately 8:15 am, the search warrant was conducted at 563 Johnson Avenue, Coos Bay, which is a residence owned by William James Fleury. Coos Bay Detectives as well as North Bend’s detective searched the residence and seized numerous items of evidence in support of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests made in the case at this time.
