Southwestern Oregon’s men knocked visiting Chemeketa (7-4, 11-2) out of a share of first place Saturday with a 93-88 NWAACC win in Coos Bay. Five Lakers scored in double figures led by DJ Anderson’s 20-points. The Storm won the women’s game64-61 in overtime. Yvonne Daniels scored 16 for SWOCC. With two games to go in the regular season, Southwestern’s (8-3, 19-6) men are tied with Portland (8-3, 17-8) for first place in the South Division. SWOCC finished at Lane in Eugene Wednesday (2/19), and then host Portland in the finale Saturday (2/22). The Laker women are 2-7, 13-12 in the South Division. SWOCC also finishes against Lane (7-2, 20-5) Wednesday in Eugene, and then home to Portland (4-6, 8-14) Saturday.
