Between July 1 and July 31, the local Red Cross responded to 83 disasters (largely home fires and wildfires) and helped to address the needs of people affected by these disasters in communities throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. Red Cross staff and volunteers provided disaster assistance, such as temporary housing, food, clothing, comfort kits, information about recovery services, and health and mental health services in locations spanning from Longview, WA to Klamath Falls, OR and Milton-Freewater, OR to North Bend, OR.
