Southern Oregon Shooting Suspect Identified, Nov. 11

OSP Detectives are continuing the investigation into last week’s shooting death of a man in O’Brien. Detectives established Lieth Samir MOHAMMAD, 29, of North Hollywood, California, was a person of interest. On November 8, 2016 the Burbank, California Police Department arrested MOHAMMAD on an unrelated charge and is currently being held in the Los Angeles County Jail. On November 10, 2016 an Oregon arrest warrant was served on MOHAMMAD while he was in custody on the following charges relating to the November 4th incident: Aggravated Murder with a Firearm (ORS 163.115); Murder with a Firearm (ORS 163.115); Robbery in the First Degree (ORS 164.415); Burglary in the First Degree (ORS 164.225); Unlawful Use of a Weapon / Firearm (ORS 166.220); Felon in Possession of a Firearm (ORS 166.255); Theft I (ORS 164.055).
