BAH Grant Applications, Jan. 30

In the last ten years, the Bay Area Hospital Community Foundation has dispersed over $2 million dollars back through the local community in the form of grant funds awarded to local non-profit organizations. In May of 2016 alone, $239,000 was awarded during an annual ceremony. The time to apply for the next round of grants is now. Applications are due by March 1, 2017. Chief Development Officer Barbara Bauder said Bay Area Hospital is committed to the mission of “Improving the Health of Our Community Every Day.” “To further that effort,” Bauder added, “the hospital’s Community Foundation annually awards grants to local non-profit organizations that share the desire to improve the overall health and well-being of our community.” She said Community Foundation’s grants have helped immunize hundreds of local children who would’ve been susceptible to illness and kept home from school, helped feed the hungry over the holidays, helped provide dental care, made sure homeless teens had everyday items, and much more. If you belong to, or know of, an organization committed to improving the health and well-being of the local community – and one that strives for regional health care excellence – they invite you to take a moment to download an application from the hospital’s website and return the completed materials before the March 1 deadline. (Note: only one application per organization will be accepted.) It should be noted, too, that if your organization received a grant last year you are required to complete a grant evaluation form prior to reapplying this year. You can download an application online. Just visit bayareahospital.org and click on the ‘Foundation’ link at the top of the page.
