Weather alert NWS.  …HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING… The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind Watch…which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. * Winds…Southerly 30 to 50 mph with gusts 55 to 70 mph. * Timing…Late Tuesday morning through early tuesday evening. * Locations include…Headlands and exposed locations along the coast including portions of Highway 101 including Gold Beach and portions of Port Orford and Bandon. * Impacts…High wind gusts in combination with rainfall will cause reduced visibilities and will make steering difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Power outages are possible due to possible tree damage and/or tree fall in the area. * View the hazard area in detail at http://weather.gov/medford/hazard  Precautionary/preparedness actions… A High Wind Watch means a hazardous high wind event is likely. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. Travel could be impacted, especially for high profile vehicles.
