Just after 2:00 am, on April 9, 2017, Oregon State Police Troopers assigned to the Grants Pass Patrol Worksite, responded to a reported shooting occurring in front of Art’s Red Garter Steakhouse in Cave Junction. Upon arrival, one male was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest. The male was identified as 32 year old Cave Junction resident, Andre Dwayne Wright. Wright was transported to the Rogue Regional Emergency Room for critical injuries. OSP detectives assigned to the Major Crimes Section in Central Point responded and are investigating the incident. There have been no arrests made in connection with this shooting.
