News release CCSO. On 05-14-17 at approximately 11:42 AM, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Coquille Tribal Police responded to 91189 Cape Arago Hwy for a reported residential alarm and burglary. The alarm company for the residence had called and advised someone was inside the residence. The property owners, John and Candace Chatt were called and the incident was confirmed. It was also relayed that John had the suspect detained. Law Enforcement arrived and took the suspect, 58 year old Robin Shook of Coos Bay into custody. Upon the conclusion of the investigation it was learned Mr. Shook had unlawfully entered the garage of the property and then attempted to enter the residence but was unable to do so. While attempting to take Robin Shook into custody and place him into a patrol vehicle, he became noncompliant and attempted to free himself from the Deputies. Mr. Shook was immediately subdued and placed in the patrol vehicle. Robin Shook was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged for Burglary II, Criminal Trespass II, and Resisting Arrest. Shook bail is set at $37,000.
