State Honors
Marshfield senior pitcher Mackenzie Johnson was honored as an All State Honorable Mention Pitcher following the conclusion of the OSAA high school softball season. She plans to attend Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls for academics.
Wittlake
Marshfield wrestler Travis Wittlake will again represent the United States at the World Cadet Championships this fall. Wittlake earned a spot on the team after winning his weight class at team trails last weekend in Akron, Ohio. This year’s international championships will be held in September in Greece. They were in Tbilisi, Georgia last year where Wittlake won the Bronze medal after going 4-1. He will also represent the US in an international dual in Iran later this month.
