Fatal on Coastal Route, March 18

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Monday’s fatal traffic crash involving a motorcycle and pickup that occurred along Highway 20 west of Burnt Woods in Lincoln County. On March 17, 2014 at approximately 12 noon, a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by ROLLIN ALBERT FISHWOOD, age 65, from Highland, California, was eastbound on Highway 20 near milepost 31. According to a witness, the motorcyclist had passed their vehicle and moved back into the eastbound lane when it collided into the back of a 1992 Ford F150 pickup preparing to turn right into a driveway.  FISHWOOD was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. He was wearing a protective helmet.  The pickup’s driver, BOYD L. EAGLESON, age 91, from Eddyville, was not injured.
