Poets at NBPL, Aug. 4

Poets Thomas Mitchell and Albert Garcia give a free reading at the North Bend Public Library on Friday, August 4, at 6:30pm. Thomas Mitchell earned his MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana, studying with Richard Hugo, Madeline DeFrees, and William Kittredge.  His poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including The New England Review, The New Orleans Review, Quarterly West, and California Quarterly.  He lives in North Bend.  The Way Summer Ends is the poet’s recently published book from Lost Horse Press. Albert Garcia, the author of A Meal Like That (Brick Road Poetry Press), Rainshadow (Copper Beech Press), and Skunk Talk (Bear Star Press), has had poems published in journals such as The North American Review, Willow Springs, Poetry East, and Prairie Schooner. Garcia works as an administrator at Sacramento City College. This event is free and open to the public on Friday, August 4, at 6:30pm.
