Bay Park Lane Fight, Aug. 14

News release CCSO.  On August 10, 2017 at about 2306 hours, Deputies arrived at 93653 Bay Park Lane to assist Coos Bay Fire and Bay Cities Ambulance on a medical call. There were several intoxicated people on scene. Deputies discovered there was a dispute between three females and one male on scene. Deputies were trying to separate individuals and interview them about the incident and allow medical personnel to tend to the individual needing medical attention. Deputies were interviewing one of the females when another female, Kayla Myers, began punching and attacking the male on scene. Deputies attempted to subdue Myers and she resisted their efforts. Deputies had to take physical control of Myers to place her into custody. During this time, Myers kicked and punched at the deputy as he was placing her into handcuffs. While the deputy was arresting Myers, Tiffany Watte, tried stopping the deputy by grabbing his arm multiple times and telling the deputy she would just take her home. After the deputy had secured Myers, Watte was arrested for Interfering with a Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct II. Both Myers, 24 years of age from Coos Bay and Watte, 33 years of age from Coos Bay, were transported to the Coos County Jail without further incident. Myers was booked on the charges of Assault Public Safety Officer, DOC II and Interfering with Police and Watte was booked on charges of Interfering with Police and DOC II.
