Celtic and World Music Concert by Four Shillings Short at North Bend Public Library, Aug. 24

News release NBPL. The great Celtic, folk, and world music duo Four Shillings Short give a free concert at the North Bend Public Library on Thursday, August 24, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. Four Shillings Short perform traditional & original music from the Celtic lands, medieval & renaissance Europe, India and the Americas on over 30 World instruments including hammered and mountain dulcimer, mandolin, mandola, bouzouki, tinwhistles, recorders, medieval and renaissance woodwinds, native american flutes, north Indian sitar, charango, bowed saltery, banjo, bodhran, guitar, ukelele, doumbek, percussion, vocals and even a krumhorn. Four Shillings Short are the husband wife duo of Aodh Og O’Tuama from Cork, Ireland and Californian Christy Martin. Touring in the US & Ireland since 1997, Four Shillings Short are independent folk-artists who perform 150 concerts a year, have released 12 recordings and live as full time troubadours traveling from town to town performing at music festivals, theatres & performing arts centers, folk societies, libraries, house concerts and schools.
