This day-long course is ideal for anyone who is interested in learning to identify native tree species and exploring ways to record information in the world around us. Learn tree identification and develop observational and recording skills. Different methods and techniques of collecting and recording information will be discussed and demonstrated. Instruction on basic natural history illustration techniques will also be presented. There will be a practical field portion to the class where students can implement techniques and ideas. Pencils, paper and resource materials will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring any additional art supplies they may want to use. Lunch will be provided.
