On October 13, 2017, approximately 1124 hours,  Senior Officer Scott Rogers and Officer Jordon Moeller were on a call at the Nancy Devereux Center when they observed a vehicle come into the parking lot.  A father exited his vehicle with an infant reporting the infant was choking.  The officers quickly reacted to the situation requesting medical to the location.  The father handed over his child to Senior Officer Rogers and Officer Moeller and they both recognized the infant was in distress and needed immediate medical attention.  They did an assessment of the infant and could tell it was having difficulty breathing and appeared to be choking.  Officer Jordon Moeller administered back blows to the infant which cleared the airway.  The infant’s breathing was restored to normal.  A short time later medical arrived on scene and the infant was transported to the hospital. If it wasn’t for the quick and immediate actions of the two officers, the outcome may had been much different.  We would like to recognize the life saving efforts of our two officers and thank them for their willingness to go above and beyond.
