NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center Announces Relocation, Oct. 26

The organization will move from their location in North Bend to Coos Bay. Coos Bay, OR  – NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center is relocating to a new office in Coos Bay. The organization is moving into the SCBEC building at 93781 Newport Lane on November 1st. In celebration of the move, NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center will host an open house and ribbon cutting for the local community on November 6th starting at 5:30 pm. “This is the perfect time to move!” explains NeighborWorks Umpqua Director of Community and Economic Development, Michelle Martin. “The new location will afford the organization more capacity to help our community in NeighborWorks Umpqua’s large, three-county service area. Whether that means hosting one-on-one financial counseling meetings in our larger offices or hosting a Dream$avers IDA group presentation in our new meeting space, our new location will help NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center deliver impactful, community-centered services from an easily accessible location.” NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center provides important community development services to the Coos, Curry, and Douglas counties. In addition to their financial education services, NeighborWorks Umpqua Coastal Housing Center is a community partner in developing and exploring regional opportunities for economic development through food system analysis, as seen through their cooperation with the Southwestern Oregon Food System Collaborative (SWOFSC). All interested participants will have a chance to tour the new facility, meet NeighborWorks Umpqua staff, learn more about the organization’s work in the local community, and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
