Menacing
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 01 April, 2014 at about 6:40 PM, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a report of shots fired at a residence on Sunnyvale Road in the Millington area, south of Coos Bay, Oregon. During the investigation the Deputy learned that 61 year old Philip Gravelle of North Bend had arrived at his mother’s property on Sunnyvale Road and confronted 53 year old Clinton Cordova of Coos Bay who was at the property performing work. During the confrontation Mr. Gravelle produced a handgun, pointed the firearm then fired the weapon unlawfully toward Mr. Cordova. Mr. Gravelle was arrested for Menacing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was lodged at the Coos County Jail and later released after posting bail. Mr. Cordova was not injured.
