News release CCSO. On December 1, 2017, deputies were dispatched to 7-11 in Bunker Hill with medical personnel, for a report of a male passed out and slumped over the wheel of a truck. Deputies contacted the male, identified as Andrew Lawson, 20 years old of Coos Bay who had also vomited several times. Mr. Lawson admitted he had been drinking all night and had to much to drink. Mr. Lawson said he drove from The Bachelor’s Inn to 7-11. Andrew Lawson performed Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and at the conclusion of the tests, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Andrew was taken to the Coos Bay Police Department for processing. Andrew had a BAC of .13%. As Andrew was also only 20 years old, the legal limit for him to drive was .00%. Mr. Lawson was issued a criminal citation for DUII and released to a sober party.
