A portion of the fencing around the Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery, adjacent to Marshfield High School in Coos Bay, was damaged on Thursday, Jan. 4, when a school bus from Reedsport ran into it. Coos Bay School officials says the damage was estimated at $2,000. The historic cemetery covers the Bay Area’s early years from the 1880s through the 1920s. Reedsport school officials says they will pay for the repairs.
