Visiting St. Mary’s, of Medford, beat Marshfield in boys’ tennis Tuesday in Coos Bay, 7-1. The Crusaders took all four singles matches and won the first three of the four doubles matches.

Marshfield downed visiting St. Mary’s, of Medford, 8-0 in girls’ tennis Tuesday in Coos Bay. Coach Aron Boesl. The Marshfield High School Girls Tennis team played St. Mary’s High School in Coos Bay on Tuesday at the William Sweet Tennis Center. The Pirates won their third match in a row winning 8- 0. The pirates swept through the singles side losing only nine games. The lady pirates then went on to win all four doubles matches with three matches going into the third set. “The singles play was very impressive they played smart powerful tennis today. To win three doubles matches in the third set today was really exciting. Desiree and Braeden made some adjustments after the first set and really dominated the second and third set. Katrina and Patrizia fought through a third set tiebreaker and pulled off the victory, as well as Madison and Elizabeth. The girls are really excited about their improvement and our depth is becoming more apparent with each match. We were able to win our two JV matches as well with Jody Zousel winning her first match 6-2.6-3 and Shasta and Sierra Banks winning 6-1, 6-1”
