CCSO report, Feb. 21

Lakeside Assault
Tree Acres, CCSO news release.  On February 17, 2018 at about 1:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to a report of an assault at Tree Acre’s Market in Lakeside. Joshua Longden called 911 to report his girlfriend, Jensen Chantel, punched him in the head. Joshua also told deputies after he got out of the car, Jensen kicked him in the groin. Joshua stated his minor son was also present during the assault and witnessed it. Deputies spoke with Jensen, who admitted to punching Joshua because she was upset he did not drive her to the beach. Jensen also admitted to kicking Joshua in the groin, although she stated it was by accident. Jensen stated she was only trying to kick the phone out of his hands when he said he was calling the police. Jensen, 25 years old of Baker City, was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and lodged on $25,000.00 bail. Deputies were assisted in the investigation by Reedsport Police and Oregon State Police.

Bandon Assault
Rosa Road, CCSO news release.  On February 17, 2018 at approximately 10:44 pm, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office and the Bandon Police Department responded to the 53000 block of Rosa Road near Bandon for a report of a domestic dispute. The victim had called 911 and left the phone line open for dispatchers to hear what was happening at the residence. A reserve officer from Bandon arrived first and detained the probable suspect. Upon their arrival at the residence, Deputies observed the woman victim’s face was horribly discolored, with one eye swollen shut and also observed her bleeding from her nose. What had been a day of relaxing with whiskey ended in this violent encounter. At one opoint the victim said she had been “choked out” and when she fought back her husband had punched her several times in the face. Fifty-four year old Michael Youravish, Bandon, was arrested and charged with Assault IV (Domestic) and a Parole Violation. Youravish was transported to the Coos County Jail where he is currently held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
