Central Coast Burglars Captured, March 16

On February 28th, 2018 at approximately 8:15 PM, two males attempted to force entry into Bernie’s Universal Dispensaries in South Beach, Oregon. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and were able to determine the suspect attempted to gain entry into the closed business by shooting the door lock with a handgun. While the suspects were unsuccessful in entering the establishment, they were captured on surveillance video. Investigators were able to work with Bernie’s Universal Dispensaries staff and other local businesses to identify the suspects. On March 14th, 2018 at approximately 4:45 PM, Lincoln County Deputies were assisted by Newport Police Officers in the execution of a search warrant on a vessel moored at the South Beach Marina. 45 year-old Newport resident Shane Perry Miller and male juvenile were taken into custody. Miller was charged with Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon. His bail was set at $200,000. 45 year-old Newport resident Rochelle Deanne Miller was taken into custody on an unrelated outstanding arrest warrant.
