Coos Co. Elections Dept. – The Primary Election in Coos County will be held on May 15, 2018. Coos County ballots will be mailed to all active, registered voters on April 26, 2018. Voters should receive their ballots between April 27th – May 1st. Military, overseas and out of state ballots are mailed earlier. If voters in Coos County have not received their ballot in the mail by Friday, May 4th, they should contact the Coos County Elections office. The last day for new registrations in Oregon and/or to change political party affiliation for this election is April 24th, 2018. The Dept. also stresses, “ballots are not forwarded by the post office, so if a voter has moved or changed a mailing address, they must complete a new registration form to update their address. This may be done online at www.oregonvotes.org.” The Primary Election includes party candidates for US Representative; Governor; State Representative, and the election of Precinct Committee Chairs; Judges; County Commissioners; and, Ballot Measure 6-167.
