The City of North Bend has received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada Distinguished Budget Presentation for its budget. According to a news release, “the award represents a significant achievement by the entity. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of government budgeting.” A Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was also presented to Finance Director Laurie P. Hall. The award covers fiscal period 2013. Over 1,340 entities are expected to receive the award.
