Rock ‘n Roll Quakes, July 25

The outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast has been shaking since Tuesday, July 24.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, ten quakes, the largest a 5.6-magnitude, have been recorded west to southwest of Gold Beach in Curry County.  A smaller 2.8-magnitude was recorded west of Brookings. The quakes off of Gold Beach were:  4.3, 5.2, 3.4, 4.3, 3.2, 4.3, 5.6, 4.9, 3.1, 3.1, and a 4.5 west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino where the two fault lines begin.   None of the quakes produced a tsunami wave.
