A 6.2-magnitude earthquake was recorded off of Coos Co. early Wednesday morning, Aug. 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. It was west to northwest of Bandon, but did not produce a tsunami warning or wave. A second quake, 4.6-magnitude, also rocked the northern junction of the two fault lines Tuesday evening, Aug. 21, west of Port Hardy, Canada.
