The Oregon Board of Forestry will hold a planning retreat on Oct. 10 to discuss work plans and operations for the coming year. No formal decisions will be made during the meeting, which is open to the public. The retreat will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Pinot Room (E105) at the Chemeketa Wine Studies Center, 215 Doaks Ferry Road NW, Salem. An executive session is planned at the conclusion of the retreat. The agenda includes discussion of the Board’s self-evaluation, working relationships between the Board and agency leaders, agency strategic initiatives, the status of the Board’s work plans for 2018-2019 and proposed 2019-2020 work plans. Immediately following the retreat, the Board will meet in executive session from 3 to 4 p.m. to conduct the State Forester’s Annual Performance Review, as provided for in Oregon Revised Statute 192.660(2)(i).
