A 54-year old North Bend male is scheduled to be arraigned in a Coos County Circuit Courtroom Thursday morning, Nov. 15, on charges of Murder and Attempted Murder following a late night shooting Tuesday on the 3500 block of Chester Street in North Bend. According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, Glen Frank Mason IV will appear at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Martin Stone. Police responded to multiple 911 calls about 10:14 p.m. regarding screaming and gunshots. Mason allegedly confronted responding neighbors with a handgun and reportedly fired several shot in their direction. Someone had a gun and returned fire. Mason retreated to his residence on Ridge Road where he eventually surrendered to authorities following negotiations. Deceased is his 53-year old estranged wife Leslie E. Mason. Twenty-eight year old Lindsay Pease, Mason’s step-daughter received multiple gunshot wounds and was transferred to OHSU in Portland. The North Bend Police Dept. is the lead investigative agency.
