North Bend Murder Suspect Arraigned, Nov. 26

The 54-year old North Bend male who allegedly shot and killed his 53-year old estranged wife on Nov. 13, was arraigned on 14-counts including Murder, Attempted Murder, Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person on a Grand Jury Indictment Friday, Nov. 23.  Killed was Leslie E. Pease, and wounded was her 28-year old daughter Lindsay Pease at a residence on the 3500 block of Chester St. in North Bend.  Glen Frank Mason was later arrested at his residence on Ridge Road.  According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, “the case has been set over to December 21, 2018 for a status hearing.  The autopsy on the body of Leslie Pease revealed that she died from being struck in the heart with slug fired from a shotgun.”  Lindsay Pease remains hospitalized in Portland.  “She was shot multiple times by what at this time is believed to have been a 9mm handgun.”
