Southwestern Oregon Community College and the Office of Student Life and Events will host the College’s Annual Student Awards Convocation Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. The ceremony will award and recognize students receiving the Southwestern Oregon Community College Foundation Scholarship, NWAACC Athletic Awards, and Faculty nominated academic awards. This ceremony provides the campus the opportunity to share with the community all the scholarship and achievement of students who are seeking to broaden and deepen their lives. College President, Dr. Patty Scott will welcome and congratulate this year’s outstanding students and faculty representatives will present awards for each of the departments. The dessert banquet begins at 7:00 pm and the ceremony will begin shortly after. This event is open to the all students, staff, and community. Everyone is encouraged to attend to celebrate the achievements of our outstanding students.
