Good Monday morning to you. Happy Labor Day! Not much going on except travelers leaving the Coast to head back to the warm valley. Partly cloudy in our forecast with highs in the low 70s and overnight lows in the upper 50s. Motorists will have a surprise in Reedsport. Wow! What a traffic mess and this time it wasn’t a parade. Not much open today being a holiday. Children are getting ready to get back to school this week, so drive cautiously in the school zones and watch out for excited young ones darting out and around vehicles. There are some traffic revisions for Millicoma and Milner Crest. Some rumblings over the weekend off the Coast. Counterfeit $20 bills showed up at the State Fair this year. Officials are seeking help in identifying the person responsible for sinking a rowing boat on the Clackamas River. USCG has been urging boater safety all weekend. Red Cross volunteers from Oregon headed to Hurricane Dorian. Access road to a beach on the North Coast closed. Fatal on Hwy. 26. Body of missing NB male found. Bulldogs open up the VB season with a win. PIrate boys get a soccer win at home. MHS XC wins at Cottage Grove. SWOCC soccer teams both fall.
