Update: John Emmerson has been located. He returned home and is safe. Original release: We are seeking your help locating a missing, endangered man. John Marshall Emmerson, age 79, of Eugene, left in his silver 2006 Ford Focus station wagon the morning of September 2 and has not returned. Emmerson did not take his medicine, which he needs, and has memory issues. Emmerson frequently hikes and scouts hunting areas. The last general location of his cellphone was yesterday around 2:30 p.m. about 4.6 miles southeast of the Cottage Grove cell tower. Emmerson is a white male, age 279, 5’5″ tall, weighing 200 pounds, no hair on his head, blue eyes and a large scar on his chest. Associated Vehicle: OR 436CHD 2006 Ford Focus Wagon Silver – There is black duct tape on the front bumper and the vehicle is missing a rear-passenger door handle and instead has grey duct tape. John was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a light colored t-shirt and shorts.
