This local news brief is brought to you by Southwest Oregon Regional Airport www.flyoth.com with air service from North Bend to San Francisco.

Good Wednesday morning.  Feels like a Farmer’s Market Day in downtown Coos Bay.  Weather forecasters have some clouds and sunshine for us today.  Highs though in the mid 70s and winds out of the North at 10-20 mph.  Some clouds continue tonight into tomorrow.  Overnight lows in the mid 50s, with winds decreasing.   In our news today, recreational advisory issued for North Tenmile Lake.  Drop-In Computer Lab at CBPL today.  Suicide prevention training coming up this month in North Bend.  A presentation from the Oregon State College of Forestry before the Oregon Board of Forestry today in Salem.  USCG suspends search for two adults in Washington.  CBPD has Unclaimed Property.  Check the list if you were hit by burglars or thieves this year.  Eugene Police have widen their scope in search of victims of an arrested  sexual abuser.  Missing/endangered male located.   Deer poaching in Southern Oregon.  Domestic assault in Lakeside and confrontation in a Charleston laundromat on the CCSO report.  In sports, joint meeting of both the North Bend and Marshfield booster clubs at NBHS today to promote Friday’s Bay Area Rivalry football game.  Its at noon and open to all in the Hall of Champions.  Prep sports schedules for both NBHS & MHS today.  Last night, MHS volleyball won.  Marshfield has a new boy’s basketball coach.  And, Oregon volleyball has Pittsburgh today.  Hope your Wednesday is a good one.  Don’t forget to look at Coos County Cops for September, it is under the “Publications” tab on my webpage.  Good to know who the violators are, and where they have been active.  Also, let’s promote more Neighborhood Watch programs.  The more eyes in the neighborhood the better.  Thank you and have a good Wednesday.    Matt
