A 35-year old male, suspected of shooting another in Florence back in late July, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 5 by Lane Co. Sheriff’s Deputies, Florence Police, Oregon State Police and Tribal Police. Gene Manuel Joseph is suspected of the shooting July 29 that injured the victim in the leg. Joseph is charged with Assault in the First Degree; Unlawful Use of a Weapon; Felon in Possession of a Weapon; Assault in the Fourth Degree; and, Menacing.
