Good Wednesday morning.  Brrrr, little chilly to start this Fall Day!  Sunshine in the forecast, but highs only near 60 and winds out of the North to Northeast at 10-20 mph.  Clear tonight with lows near 40.  Warmer with sunny skies on Thursday.  In our news, motorists in downtown Coos Bay are being warned about striping underway on some streets.  Today is a Farmer’s Market Day in downtown Coos Bay.  The BACC WBC Forum is also today with a distillery on tap.  NB Parks Advisory Board meets today, on their agenda the new playground equipment at Simpson Park.  Coos Bay Fire Dept. has an open house tonight as part of Fire Prevention Week.  Oregon Board of Forestry has a retreat today at a winery.  Not bad!  Mark your calendars for next July, Sentry Exercises return to the Klamath Basin with military jets aplenty.  Speaking about jets, the 142nd Wing of the OANG is conducting some night flying this week.  USCG involved in a couple of medevacs off cruise ships.  One was off of Coos Bay.  Police logs show warrant arrests, gun stolen in North Bend recovered in Stockton, CA.  A UEMV and UUMV with burglary.  In sports, prep booster clubs meet today.  Prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS, Prep VB last night not good for the home teams.  Prep soccer, MHS gets a split with Elmira.  Prep FB polls show both MHS & NBHS in the Top 10.  College soccer today at SWOCC.  UO men join the Ducks women as preseason Pac-12 favorites in basketball, and Coach Tinkle gets a contract extension at OSU.  Stay warm and thank you for reading.  Matt
