UO Release – EUGENE, Ore. – After leading Oregon to a two-touchdown come-from-behind win at No. 25 Washington on Saturday, senior quarterback Justin Herbert earned a number of weekly honors for his play in the 35-31 victory at Husky Stadium. Herbert, who completed 24-of-38 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns against UW, was named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week and the Rose Bowl Game Pac-12 Player of the Week. He also is one of eight quarterbacks named to the Davey O’Brien Award’s Great 8 and the Manning Award “Stars of the Week”. Herbert’s final two touchdowns erased a 31-21 second-half deficit, including the game-winning TD pass with 5:10 to play. Saturday’s effort marked the seventh time in his career that Herbert has tossed four or more touchdown passes in a game and extended his streak of consecutive games with a TD pass to 35 games, which leads the nation. Senior offensive tackle Calvin Throckmorton also has been named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week. Throckmorton, who made his 45th consecutive start, had a 100 percent assignment grade from the Oregon coaches and was the sixth-highest offensive lineman in the Pac-12 by Pro Football Focus. The Washington game marked Throckmorton’s 27th consecutive start at right tackle (1,789 snaps) without allowing a sack. The Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week honor is the fourth by an Oregon player in the seven weeks it has had a game. Sophomore left tackle Penei Sewell claimed the other three weekly honors.
