Good Thursday morning. The weather is changing and for the better. Sunshine again today, highs in the low 70s and winds out of the northeast at 10-15 mph. Clear tonight with lows in the upper 40s and winds continue out of the northeast but at 5-10 mph. Mixture of some clouds and more sunshine on Friday. In our news today, the USCG starts Marine Safety Training on the Oregon Coast. They will hit Charleston on Nov. 7 & 8. OSU scientists are touting success in the Ocean, and say they have a path to more protection. Coos Co. Library Board at NBPL today. SW Oregon Regional Forest Practices Committee in Grants Pass today. OHA has another statement on Vaping. Another Workplace Video Safety challenge for high school students. An update on that Wilderville Police Matter, suspect arrested in Chicago. Poaching case arrest from Southern Oregon. An update on the Police use of force in Linn Co. Drug arrest in Douglas Co. Disorderly individual on the NBPD logs. In sports, prep schedules for both NBHS & MHS today, a little soccer and volleyball. Marshfield’s VB team secured second place in their league last night with a playoff win. OSAA/Coach’s FB poll has both the Bulldogs and Pirates ranked. Both Marshfield & North Bend’s cross country teams ran yesterday in the Willamette Valley. SWOCC’s soccer teams get a draw and a loss Wednesday. Pac-12 women’s soccer has OSU & UO in the Arizona desert tonight. Beaver men head to San Diego State.
