The Coos County Master Food Preservers will once again host a booth at this year’s Coos County Fair. Located near Culinary and Photography in the Oaks Pavilion, the Food Preservers booth will have volunteers on hand to answer your food preservation and food safety questions. Fairgoers can learn about, and sign up for, upcoming workshops such as Pickles, Flavored Vinegars & Sauerkraut, Dehydrating and Tuna Canning – all classes on the agenda for this summer and fall. A variety of food preservation materials – publications and books – will be available for purchase, along with cheese making kits, Clear-jel thickener and more. The MFP booth will be staffed from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. A raffle will be held for a jam/jelly maker package.
