Charleston, CCSO release – On December 3, 2019 at 9:09 AM, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the Seaport RV Park on Boat Basin Drive in Charleston, to follow up on a theft investigation. Deputies contacted 40 year old Jack P. White of Coos Bay. Mr. White was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and a probation violation at Space number #16 at the Seaport RV Park. While at the location, an additional subject fled the location. This subject was later apprehended and identified as 47 year old Scott M. Todd. Mr. Todd had valid misdemeanor and felony warrants out of Douglas County for his arrest. While at the location, suspected stolen property from a burglary which occurred on Boat Basin Drive on November 26, 2019 was located and seized. During the November theft, over $5,000.00 in contracting tools were taken from two contractors working at Bandon Pacific, a Seafood processing plant on Boat Basin Drive. Information lead to the execution of a search warrant on December 4, 2019 at 1:53 PM, at a travel trailer belonging to Jack P. White on Tarheel Lane. Located pursuant to the warrant were items from three separate burglaries to include items from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Office on Boat Basin Drive. Deputies also seized drug paraphernalia used to ingest methamphetamine. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Coos County Parole and Probation Department and the Coquille Tribal Police Department. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the additional outstanding tools or any co-conspirators is encouraged to contact the Coos County Sheriff’s Office. This investigation is ongoing.
Criminal Trespass
Foxglove Rd, CCSO release – Narrative: On 12/02/19 at approximately 10:45 PM, the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report stating 37 year old Melissa Lucas walked into a residence that she didn’t have permission to enter. The residence was located on Foxglove Rd. Coos Bay, Oregon. At approximately 11:13 PM, Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived in the area and located Melissa at a residence on Green Acres Ln. Melissa was taken into custody without incident for Criminal Trespass in the First degree. Melissa was transported to the Coos County Jail where she was booked and lodged.
