CORVALLIS – For the second-straight year the Oregon State women’s basketball team has sold out the Civil War at Gill Coliseum. The game, scheduled for Jan. 26, will be the third sell-out in program history, joining last season’s matchup with Oregon and the Beavers’ 2017 game against Stanford. Student tickets will still be available, and can be claimed beginning on Jan. 20. The Beavers and Ducks have played classic games at Gill each of the last two seasons, with Oregon State coming away victorious on both occasions. Overall, Oregon State has won 15 of the last 17 Civil Wars, including the last nine at home. Oregon State is off to the best start in program history, opening the season with a perfect 11-0 record. The Beavers are ranked No. 4 in both major polls, and are one of 11 remaining undefeated teams in the nation. OSU’s average margin of victory this season is 25.8 points. Senior Mikayla Pivec leads the Beavers with 15.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this season, while Destiny Slocum is averaging 14.7 points per contest. Freshman Taylor Jones has had a stellar start to her career, recording 13.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Oregon State’s next home game will come on Dec. 29, when the Beavers host CSU Bakersfield.
