A 29-year old California male, visiting friends in the Bay Area, was arrested Sunday morning, July 13, following the shooting death of another male during a birthday celebration at the North Bend Community Center. According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, Miguel Alejandro Iniguez (aka Alex Miguel Iniguez) is expected to be charged with Murder Monday morning in Coos County Circuit Court at Coquille. The suspect was taken into custody without incident about 7:29 a.m. outside of Walmart on Newmark Ave. in Coos Bay following a several hour manhunt. North Bend Police originally received a report about a fight at the Community Center at approximately 1:15 a.m. The body of a deceased Hispanic male was found in the back parking lot. He had been shot in the head. The investigation is continuing.
