Marshfield’s basketball teams swept 4A District 4 basketball games against Siuslaw Friday night at Florence. The Pirates boys opened the doubleheader with a 64-55 win, while the Lady Pirates had to come-from-behind to nip the Lady Viks 34-29. Marshfield’s boys (3-0, 12-4) are tied with Marist Catholic (3-0, 13-3) for first place. The two play each other Tuesday night in Eugene. The Lady Pirates (1-2, 6-11) are in fourth place behind Cottage Grove (3-0,12-5), Marist Catholic (3-0, 8-6) & Junction City (2-1, 8-9). Marshfield’s girls also play at MC Tuesday night in the late game.
